and Worcester. According to the latest census, Massachusetts has
an estimated population of 6,349,097 people and an approximate
size of 10,555 square miles. The economy is primarily made up
of services, trade, manufacturing and Tourism. The States
Flower is the Mayflower, and the State Bird is the Chickadee.
Massachusetts motto is Ense Petit Placidam Sub Libertate
Quietem. (which means by the sword we speak peace, but peace
only under liberty.
